Spider Robinson, who writes some of the best science fiction there is, says... |

| "Live" is the operative word, and for Amos-known for his prowess as a fisherman-this catch includes a storming opening called Wrong Lake To Catch Fish by Chuck Willis, who occasionally hung up his rock and roll shows to write tunes as good as this one. Amos always includes at least one Percy Mayfield tune on every album he does, and this time he comes up with two rarities, Maybe It's Because Of Love and That's What A Little Dream Can Do. There are some tasty originals by keyboard player Ron Casat and Amos himself, old classics from Huddie Ledbetter-Grasshoppers On My Pillow, Robert Johnson-Walkin' Blues, and Johnny Otis-Willie And The Hand Jive, and the definitive in person remakes of tunes that Amos has already tackled, including Santo & Johnny's Sleepwalk and Buried Alive In The Blues, a tune that dates back to his days with Paul Butterfield's Better Days. |
